In
addition to its range of DVD’s, Archway
Video Productions also produces bespoke
safety and operational
videos for shipping operators.
Our personnel have many years of experience on
modern cargo vessels in roles with direct operational
responsibility for the areas featured in the videos.
We have produced many such videos in the past
and would be delighted to send you samples should
you be interested.
Read more about the different types of video below:
- Safety Videos
- Operational Videos
The videos can be produced in any format - VHS
or DVD and
also in NTSC format suitable for the North American
market.
We provide a quality end-product for a fraction
of the cost
normally associated with such productions as we
have low
overheads and can operate in a flexible way to
meet your
requirements.

Safety
Videos
These are extremely useful and beneficial for training
purposes for crews of all nationalities. During the
video correct location and use of all safety equipment
will be shown and demonstrated, making familialiarisation
more rapid and easy.
Safety videos are also useful to demonstrate to port
state control that your company has done everything
possible to train and familiarise the crew with the
safety equipment on board the vessel.
If you have a fleet of vessels, which are all similar,
then one safety video will cover all of these. If your
fleet comprises a number of different vessels then the
video can be made in such a way that can be still be
used on all the vessels.
This type of video is particularly useful as a copy
can be sent to the manning agents to be shown to crew
as part of the pre-joining familiarisation. Then when
they join the vessel they will have some knowledge of
the LSA equipment on board which should help to improve
the safety efficiency of the vessel.
Running time would be between 20 and 30 minutes.

Operational
Videos
If your company has a specialised ship using sophisticated
equipment such as gantry cranes or heavy lift cranes,
a video can be made to clearly explain the use of this
equipment. In the case of vessels where there is a complicated
procedure to change from one type of gear to the next,
a video of this can be shown before the operation is
undertaken. This will make the gear change-over go much
more smoothly with less chance of expensive delays.
Running time will depend on subject matter. |
